Username's cannot contain an e-mail address, special characters such as “/”, “\”,
“[”, “]”, “:”, “;”, “|”, “=”, “,”, “+”, “*”, “?”, “<”, “>”, “@”, and must be a minimum
of 3 characters.
Password criteria: is at least 7 characters; has not been used in the previous 10
passwords; must not have been changed within the last 1 days; does not contain your
account or fullname; contains at least 3 of the following four character groups:
English uppercase characters (A through Z); English lowercase characters (a through
z); Numerals (0 through 9); non-alphabetic characters (such as !, #, $, %).
Guidelines for strong passwords:
Strong passwords have the following characteristics:
- Contains both upper and lower case characters.
- Contains all of the following: numbers, letters, and special characters.
- Is not a word in any language, slang, dialect, jargon, etc. (cannot be
found in a dictionary and is not used in daily conversation).
- Is not based on names of family, friends, pets, companies, etc., or personal
information such as birthdays, addresses, phone numbers, etc.
- Is not based on word or number patterns (e.g., aaabbb, 123321, etc.).
- Is not based on any of the above spelled backward or preceded/followed
by a digit (e.g., password1, 1password).
